The angle steel transposition tower is an exclusive special tower for high-voltage and ultra-high voltage transmission lines, with Q235/Q355 high-strength angle steel as the core main material, assembled into a space truss structure through bolted connection, and the core function is to realize the periodic spatial position exchange of three-phase conductors, in layman's terms, it is to take turns changing seats for three-phase conductors.
Different from ordinary angle steel transmission towers, its structural design pays more attention to the spatial adaptability and force stability of wire transposition, and adds special transposition fittings and wire guide structures, which can accurately adjust the phase position of the wire, so that the three-phase wire occupies different spatial positions on the whole line, so as to balance the electrical parameters such as three-phase inductance, capacitance, and impedance.

The UHV model is designed with structural reinforcement to optimize truss density and node bearing, and is suitable for long-distance and large-capacity trunk transmission lines of 500kV and above, which can achieve more accurate phase adjustment and ensure the balance of three-phase parameters.
It is divided into two categories: single-tower transposition type and double-tower transposition type.
The single-tower transposition type adopts a compact design, with a streamlined structure and a small footprint, which is suitable for scenarios with limited line space, and can complete the three-phase conductor transposition on a single tower.
The two-tower transposition type is the recommended scheme for UHV lines of 500kV and above, which realizes wire transposition through the synergy of the two towers, with stronger stability, and is suitable for high-load and long-distance transmission scenarios, and is usually equipped with 1-2 sets of transposition towers every 100km line.
It is divided into wine glass type angle steel transposition tower, cat head type angle steel transposition tower, and dry type angle steel transposition tower.
The wine glass type is adapted to horizontally arrange the wires, and the transposition operation is convenient, which is the mainstream selection of high-voltage lines.
The cat head type adopts a triangular arrangement of wire design, which has outstanding wind resistance and ice resistance, and is suitable for complex environments such as coastal and alpine environments.
