How about hot-dip galvanized traffic poles?

2026-04-02 0 Leave me a message

Hot dip galvanized traffic poles are widely used as infrastructure in road traffic systems, with significant advantages such as strong corrosion resistance, long service life, stable structure, and low maintenance costs. The following is a comprehensive evaluation based on authoritative public information:

Core strengths

Excellent anti-corrosion performance

The hot-dip galvanizing process involves immersing steel in a zinc solution at approximately 500 ℃ to form a dense zinc iron alloy layer, effectively isolating air, moisture, and corrosive substances. The thickness of the zinc layer is usually ≥ 75 μ m (some high standard products can reach 86 μ m or more), and the anti-corrosion life can reach 30 years, especially suitable for humid, coastal or rainy areas.

High strength and structural reliability

The main material is often made of Q235 or Q345 low-alloy high-strength steel, with a wall thickness of generally 4-12mm, which can meet the requirements of different heights (6-12 meters) and wind loads (such as wind resistance of 45kg/m ²). The welding process is strict, and the weld seam must be smooth and defect free, and a flaw detection report can be provided.

Compliant with national standards

The product design and manufacturing follow national standards such as GB/T 23827-2009 Road Traffic Sign Boards and Supporting Components and GB 14886-2006 Requirements for Installation and Installation of Traffic Signal Lights to ensure safety and interchangeability.

Installation standards, wide applicability

-Installation height: Highway ≥ 5500mm, urban roads generally 2000-5000mm (depending on clearance requirements).

-There are various types of structures, including single column, cantilever (F/T type), gantry, etc., which can adapt to different numbers of lanes and road conditions.

-It can be combined with monitoring, signal lights, and other equipment to support the "multi pole integration" policy.

Beautiful and durable appearance

The hot-dip galvanized surface is uniformly silver white, with a long-lasting luster that is not easily faded or peeled off like spray paint, enhancing the overall image of the road.

Typical application scenarios

-Highways: used for large signs such as speed limits, exit warnings, and service area indications, often adopting cantilever or gantry structures.

-Urban roads: single column or small cantilever, used for guiding, prohibition, and warning signs.

-Rural roads: economical single column poles ensure the safety of turning, bridges, and other road sections.

-Intersection: often used in conjunction with signal poles, some products integrate electronic police, lighting and other functions.

Precautions

-Avoid using cold galvanized (electroplated) products, as their zinc layer is thin (usually<20 μ m) and their anti-corrosion life is only 1-2 years, much lower than hot-dip galvanizing.

-During installation, it is necessary to ensure that the signboard is perpendicular to the direction of travel or slightly tilted inward (0 ° -15 °) to reduce glare and improve visibility.

-Regularly cleaning reflective film and checking bolt tightness can extend its service life.
